INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Since independence in 1991, Armenia has become a member of more than 40 international organizations. These include the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Commonwealth of Independent States, the World Trade Organization, the World Customs Organizations, the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, International Organization of La Francophonie and others. Since 1994, Armenia has also participated in NATO's Partnership for Peace program. Armenia has been included under the EU endorsed European Neighborhood Policy since 2004.
